Fantasy/Science Fiction

Fantasy books ever since I was a child have been a top 3 genre for me. I was always interested in finding a way to get out of the real world whether it was TV, Video games, or Fantasy books. Fantasy books were really the first books I ever started reading as a kid, they kept me entertained the longest from start to end and would even act like I was in the book sometimes. I wasn't the biggest fan of science fiction because it doesn't excite me as much, futuristic concepts don't really move me as much as Harry Potter and Voldemort fighting till the end. Fantasy has way more depth as well in terms of character development in my opinion because of the way the story is set up is for the protagonist to always go through a conflict and come up on top at the end or at least most of the time. Power systems such as Harry Potter's magic or in the Mistborn series, Allomancy a genetic ability that allows a person to metabolize metals, ingested by the Allomancer, for magical powers that can enhance physical and mental capacities. That doesn't even scrape the surface of some cool things in fantasy, fantasy really is in the top 3.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book One: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - Percy Jackson and the Olympians - Disney-Hyperion, Other BooksMistborn: The Final Empire (The Mistborn Saga, 1): Sanderson, Brandon: 9781250868282: Amazon.com: Books

If I could go to any fantasy location it would have to be Camp Half-Blood from the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. This place would just be full of fun activities, fighting bad guys and demigods. The camp has magical borders that would protect us from getting ambushed by any other enemies. Camp Half-Blood is the spot for me!
